These gorgeous super soft, light weight  and cosily warm Cashmere Pashmina shawls are hand woven using hand spun yarn. They are sustainably sourced from artisans in Kashmir.
Pashmina, locally known as "Lena Cashmere", comes from a particular type of goat called Changra, that lives in the high altitude regions of Ladakh in northern India and in neighbouring Tibet,  at a height of over 5000 metres. Nature has provided the goats with their thick undercoat to protect them from the extreme cold of winter. The goats are raised in herds by caring shepherds who comb the fleece out by hand in the spring. The heavy coarse outer hair is then separated from the fine soft Pashmina Cashmere undercoat.
The  pashmina yarn is then hand spun, usually by the women. (mechanical methods of doing this can damage the fragile fibres) The yarn is then hand woven on traditional looms, by highly skilled artisans to make these wonderful Pashmina Shawls.
Each beautiful Pashmina Shawl comes in its own muslin storage bag.
70cm x 220 cm.

Dry clean this gorgeous scarf to preserve its beauty.
Store in bag when not in use and take moth prevention methods if necessary.
