Our Anna cape comes from our friends at Sabahar in Ethiopia. It is made from a thick cotton which is both warm, versatile and chic .
Sabahar is a registered Fair Trade company providing respectful and ethical work opportunities for marginalised people.
The thick Ethiopian cotton is hand woven on a four-harness, traditional hand loom. This creates a subtle texture in the fabric. The back of the cape features chain stitching, a technique still used by Ethiopian women to sew together their ceremonial shawls. These capes are more like a jacket and can be worn in many different ways, making them the perfect "go to piece". They are a season-less addition to any wardrobe and are great to take travelling - snuggle up on a plane or for a cool evening. And they are washable !
