Khadi cotton is a fabric well known as it was championed by Mahatma Gandhi. Khadi is a fabric that is more environmentally friendly as it uses less water in the development.
The fabric is often spun and woven in the villages in India by women artisans, which gives them their own income and self respect, whilst letting them gain more independence for themselves and their children. The fabric is hand screen printed, and becomes deliciously soft with wash and wear.
