Reese - Hand Spun, Hand Woven Woollen Scarf From The Himalayas
100% Pure Hand spun Wool
These scarves are very special. Made of wool yarn hand spun by the Bhotia ladies in the village Dunda, near Uttarkashi in the central Himalayas. The yarn is hand dyed naturally with harada and tea or madder, harrada and tea and then hand woven into these beautiful scarves. They are very warm and soft, and have a beautiful herringbone weave. The scarves are certified Craftmark as hand woven and hand dyed.
The length of the scarf is about 78 inches (198 cm) and width 12 inches (30 cm). There are also tassels of roughly 3 inches (7 cm) length.
There may be slight variations in the size as it is made on a hand loom. Small inconsistencies in weaving and dying we believe just add to the character of this scarf.
Hand wash gently with non-biological liquid. Dry flat in the shade.
