CASHMERE
KASHMIR, INDIA
Luxuriously soft, fine and warm, this cashmere shawl has been hand woven by master craftsmen and women. Gold or Silver Zari thread is used to make these exquisite shawls unique and very beautiful. They are finished with raw edges, making the perfect statement piece.
These shawls are made using partially hand spun yarn and are completely hand woven - meaning the production process is carbon neutral and creates no toxic waste.
Our pashm fibre is authentic, Geographic Indicator (GI) tagged wool from Ladakhi nomads, which is then hand spun and woven in Kashmir by a community of skilled artisans.
The production supports a whole community of craftsmen and women involved in the dozen steps of producing these shawls. They receive fair wages and regular employment, and work In a free and open environment.
Minor irregularities are a feature of a hand made shawl, and not a defect. We believe this adds to the beauty and authenticity of each shawl making each piece individual and unique.
Made from 90% Pashmina Cashmere and 10% Zari thread.
Please treat your shawl with kindness. We recommend dry cleaning only, for such a beautiful shawl. A storage bag made from vintage sari silk is enclosed.
